Dispatch
The Dispatch module is intended for use by companies that have servicemen,
drivers, technicians and the like in the field. It permits all inside employees to add
calls from customers to the queue and to see the status of all calls at a glance. Since
most dispatching is done on a pad or wall chart in the vicinity of the person doing the
dispatching, this alone is a huge selling point. The Dispatch module also permits the
dispatcher to note assignments and easily determine the next geographically closest
assignment for any given outside employee. The dispatcher may also send pages to outside
employees alpha pagers and create work orders for customers, which are later
converted to invoices once the labor and material are known. Users may also view the
customers history of service calls and several views of pending and completed calls
are offered.
Interface to Order Entry:
Users who also have the Order Entry module may automatically
generate a work order. The work order is converted to an invoice once the labor and parts
are known. The invoice will automatically be posted to the Accounts Receivable (when
appropriate) and General Ledger modules.
Installation:
Customers are added via the Administration module.
