2 pounds Beef Chuck -- cut in 1" cubes
4 medium potatoes -- cut in 1" cubes
6 medium carrots -- quartered and sliced
2 large onions -- quartered
2 bay leaves
flour
salt
pepper
3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1 medium can tomato sauce
Dredge meat in mixture of flour, salt & pepper. Heat olive oil in heavy dutch oven and
brown meat. Add vegetables, tomato sauce, bay leaves and enough water to cover. Cook on
low heat until meat is tender (about 1 1/2 hrs).
Top with dumplings (follow recipe on Bisquick box).
